    One of my teachers in Saudi was telling us a story in an attempt to persuade us to wear gloves in the boiling heat. She told us about how a man was in Mecca making Hajj when he passed by a praying woman who was covered from head to toe, save her hands. Her hands were very beautiful and he could not concentrate on Hajj properly after that because he wasn't able to stop having sinful thoughts about them. The man became very angry and rose his hands to the heavens exclaiming "O Allah, forbid Paradise to her just as she seduced me!"

    Ha! So I'm not the only one who screws up her English. It just seems people have more fun pointing it out when it's me.

    I don't know where this insecurity comes from. It reminds me how I was accused of committing an as grave sin as adultery when I showed my face to a man for the purpose of identification.

    Mo was insecure and wanted his wives to cover up, as was Umar and some of his other cronies. So to please them and himself he fabricated a myth about how men are uncontrollable sex maniacs. In a society where this is taught and how any woman who exposes a fingertip is looking for attention, as she knows the "nature" of men, that's the unfortunate outcome.

    he had one back in the day.. I remember the name clearly.

    He used to get mad that I expressed sentiments against Bin Laden. Him and his comrades for sure supported Jihadists in a subtle way. He used to be very insulting along with his comrades. Muslims like him used to say to me, "Can't wait to chop off your head in the battlefield" or some corny stuff like that.

    Yesterday I dreamed I went to a debate, but one of them cancelled so they asked me to fill in. Then I visited nearby animal enclosures and went inside the one that had cats. One of the cats pounced on either another cat or a mouse. I crouched down and felt a pressing on my hand. Looked down and a huge spider had sunk it's fangs into me. I was taken to the wolf enclosure and turned into a werewolf to save my life, and was fretting how the aliens visiting later would react now I'm a werewolf, but my mum rang me so I woke up before I found out.

    Seriously, though. I wonder how many times this has repeated itself in the Muslim world. The place has been at war in one form or another for the last 1400 years. I’m sure each time, someone was on one side or another was interpreting some military leader to be the Mahdi, another to be the dajjal, etc.
