He read the Quran, he hade many difficulties, but says because the passage of the Angels going "Why would you let a vicegerent on earth that will cause bloodshed when you have us" and God goes "D'Fuck do you care? Now shut the fuck up and prostrate before I bitch slap you". So this somehow made sense, and he goes at a diatribe how this along with feelings of faith when praying, reading Quran churning in his wee little belly made him go Allah Hu SnaaAkbar.  

    But I have a request, I beg you, I implore you, please read it yourself Smiley I think I?m a bit too angry right now, and my above post might show why.



    Well I told the muslim that I wont believe any muslim apologist  because often the apologists make up their own story as to why Allah tests us which may sound logical but that story doesnt have qurans backing. Quran doesnt say anything of that sort . Infact quran clearly tells us that Allah tests so that he can find out who is good and who is bad.There is not 1 but plenty of verses that tell us the same thing .The point is quran says that Allah tests us because he wants to find out something which is a clear cut error because he cant be All Knowing then. The muslim however said that this guy i.e author of this book has given proofs from quran as to explain why Allah tests us and thats why I asked you.Anyway  thanks for the help!

How the marriage was not for a sexual reason, but for a political tie and it would be rude and harmful to muslims if he didn't marry Aisha. And you read the hadits and the Sira and its like how are they connecting the dots?

    It almost wants to make me cry, and I'm grown man. Not because I lost love for a Prophet, ridiculous thinking, but because of all the lies and deceit. Jesus its like being in a cult and brain washed and anytime you discuss it with Muslims they'll tell you are wrong and you will burn in hell for eternity, at best, at worst somebody might actually try to physically harm you. No matter how much I try to wrap my head around it, picturing a 9 year old and then picturing an adult, its just wrong. I?m sorry. It?s just wrong. This is not aimed at you either, but we have guests browsing CEMB forum and I suspect some of them are Muslims. This is one thread they will definitely read.

    I've heard Muslim Arabs go well what's the problem? That's what they did back then. The West has a problem with this, not us kind of thinking. And they go on and say our grandmothers married when they were 13. But if it truly wasn't a modern problem, this marrying at 9, then why do Christian Arabs call Mohamed a Paedophile. Now some of them might hate Muslims and Islam and say it out of spite (ie they might agree that it was done back in the 7th century but they wont say it themselves) but I'm sure some of them don't have any problems with Muslim but simply find it to be a repulsive act. And they are Arabs and born and raised in Arabic countries. Not to mention the fact that there are Arabs who are ex Muslims, born and raised and still living in Arabic countries that have found this and find it to be a repulsive act. Not an excusable act. Not one that should be emulated, certainly not in today?s age. The problem is, that it is still emulated in today?s age, and it will be, even 200 years from now because the sunna of the prophet is always correct.

    Ofcourse thats bullshit ! Abu Bakr and Muhhamad were already friends so need for a political tie. but even assuming that was the reason its still crap! You just have to ask the muslim the right question. How does having sex with a minor help in building a political tie? Would it not have been achieved without sex ? I dont see any need to have sex with a minor to build ties!

Infact this is a proof that GOD and he had no connection and he was just another illiterate arab who fell for the evil norms or customs of his times(assuming that it was really a norm).Ideally he should be setting an example by going against this norm . Please tell me what is the difference between ordinary men and him if he followed the same set of evil customs? So you see Muhhamad cannot be excused even if it was a norm since he claimed to be a prophet from God

    To be frank I am not upto the point on this thread.  I am simply out of mind today.I am answering by just having a glance at the arguments and without reading the complete argument. Let me get this straight now.The appropriate response should be like this:


     When a muslim says that Muhhamad married Aisha for a political reason and not for sex he is merely telling us the reasons for marriage. We are interested in knowing why he had sex with her when she was a minor and not why he married her assuming that  marriage was really for political reasons.

    A muslim might here come up with an argument like sex is a natural consequence of a marriage i.e he would want to tell you that since he married her it was ok to have sex with her.This still doesnt save Muhhamad .The conditions when one can have sex without committing a crime are :

    1)A girl should be physically mature

    2)She should consent .


    By simply marrying  both these conditions arent satisfied.A minor remains a minor even if you marry her.In short you would still be committing a crime even if you have married since  the above conditions are not met.


    Regarding the second argument regarding norm is fine I guess.

    Isn't there a verse in the Quran which discusses how one should behave (sexually) with ones wife if she hasn't reached puberty. Apologists can wriggle all they like but the fact remains that medival societies and Muslims who are still stuck in medival times did marry and have sexual relations with minors. The problem Islam has is that because it claims to be a message for all times and all places, it has to try to explain away norms of the 7th century in the modern world. This leaves Muslims with 3 options;

    a) Deny it ever happened
    b) Reject modernity and retreat into a medival mindset
    c) Claim it was a custom of the time and no longer relevant (which contradicts Islam's claim to be a message for all times).

    Tragic really.
    Take the Pakman challenge and convince me there is a God and Mo was not a murdering, power hungry sex maniac.

    Exactly! This is Islam's achilles heel, at least one of the most vulnerable of them.

    I wonder if the reason why Muslims become so hysterical over any perceived insult to Mo is because they know this. They want to create a thought crime by bloodcurdling rhetoric and violence if anybody even says his name in the wrong tone. Because when you do start to examine him truthfully - it is mindblowing, and in so many ways, he was morally repulsive. And the edifice of Islam begins to crumble when you do so.

    Bah, i dont trust Hadith. Most were made and supported by those who were against Muhammad then pretended to believe him by converting to Islam. Thats why after Muhammad died, many Muslims who followed him were killed and those who were against Muhammad ruled the country.

    I thought point 2 covered  it and hence didnt mention it separately.A girl can consent only if she is mentally mature.I dont think so Aisha ever agreed to have sex when she was 9.It must be filthy Mo who must have approached her with his dirty intentions.

    Now I dont know if this is possible that a child agrees to have sex without knowing what sex is all about as she is mentally immature.In that case I need to add point 3 as you say.

    I still can not get over how a human being, can come out and non-challantly confesses that he burns sentient creatures.
