    what if your definition of god is not the same as the abrahamic definition of 'god'? For example, if I think... "mother nature" is God, does that count?

    Also, do you think that it is fair to burn someone for eternity because a certain concept did not make sense to them while they were on earth?

    I'm an atheist, and I don't believe in after-death consequences if that's what you mean by "eternal". I also *don't* believe in "if it feels good, do it!", my moral code is a little more complex than that.

    I think theists are so focused on the after-life consequences that they don't realize THIS world's consequences sometimes. A suicide bomber as an extreme example is so focused on the good his actions will bring in the after-life that he can't see that he is murdering innocent people.

    To determine whether something is right or wrong, I personally tend to look among other things at the consequences- the ones in THIS life. The Golden Rule is also a pretty good compass. Then again, this is just me, you can't say that for all atheists because atheists think *independently*, not with a mob mentality.

    If atheists believe that then it is simply a consequence of God not providing undeniable evidence of his existence and the logical consequences that many (understandably) come to.

    If God is going to HATE people for something that is ultimately his own fault - then he is not a God worthy of praise or worship.

    What you believe seems to depend on dividing the human race into theists and hedonists of the most selfish sort.  Its a very superficial, immature reading of human nature, which is why its convincing nobody.

    do you believe atheist can not be brainwashed?

    Generally speaking anyone can be brainwashed if they have only ever been exposed to one school of thought, and that also includes atheists.  

    Difficult to apply that to us, as we have seen both sides of the equation and made a personal choice based on the information at hand.  If we had only been exposed to one angle, parents had been devout atheists,or been compelled to believe in something (like death sentence for apostacy) then I would agree I could also be brainwashed.

    You should know why from reading my posts.  I don't believe in God and your description  of atheists shows that you don't know the first thing about us, so why would I believe anything else you say?  Not to mention that your concept of God is a cruel and unjust one.

    logic should not be subjective. why do you think many people who know the Qur'an and Bible come to the conclusion that these books make no sense? whereas believers think they not only make sense but they are miracles?

    2nd that.... spot on.... I couldn't have said it better.

    Yeah and what about young children of non believers who die before they get to become Muslims or Christians.... for example little children who perished during the sinking of the Titanic?? Are they going straight to hell???

    And what about people (Men, Women and Children) in remote areas far far away from civilization such as the Amazons for example who believed (and they have all the right to do so!!) in the most scary animals they have encountered (Crocodiles, pythons or Jaguars... etc) and maybe worshiped them in fear, and had no time to sit and meditate and  imagine a mightier entity to believe in because they have no time to do that. If they rest and close their eyes in the forest they would be a nice snack for a freaking Croc or a Jag!!! What about them? Straight to hell?   UNFAIR I would say!!!!!

    I think this is the latest logical issue I'm having with religions. How can babies who die be judged? Of course they shouldn't go to hell, but even if they go straight to heaven, isn't that unfair to all the other souls that had to actually be tested to earn their place there? If God can judge without testing (or whatever sick version of "test" any religion has) then what is the point of putting us on Earth at all?

    That is a beautiful sentiment. I loved it when I was a Muslim.

    You appear to be a tolerant person kope, but this is obviously against the teachings of your religion. Don't you fear sometimes that Allah will punish you for not fighting the idolaters like he told you to very clearly in his message?

    I'm an atheist, and I don't believe in after-death consequences if that's what you mean by "eternal". I also *don't* believe in "if it feels good, do it!", my moral code is a little more complex than that.

    I think theists are so focused on the after-life consequences that they don't realize THIS world's consequences sometimes. A suicide bomber as an extreme example is so focused on the good his actions will bring in the after-life that he can't see that he is murdering innocent people.

    To determine whether something is right or wrong, I personally tend to look among other things at the consequences- the ones in THIS life. The Golden Rule is also a pretty good compass. Then again, this is just me, you can't say that for all atheists because atheists think *independently*, not with a mob mentality.
