    ^^Agreed, it's got to be very tough for you, I found it hard faking for a few weeks just to get my ex husband to leave me alone in the house so that I could run away, very very difficult, but the aim is always worth it no matter the guilt, so like spiral dive said, just hang in there.

    My first Ramadhan as a Murtad has happened quite well if I may say so. I have felt frustrated over the futility of this task because of the rest of the family keeping it, but I haven't missed any (though I did wank a few times in the shower when the sun was out bunny ). I haven't eaten or drank during the Fasting period of the day. I am just doing this to deflect attention off me and my family given how people complained to my mother about my conduct  finmad

    The most funniest aspect, while I am keeping fast, some relatives with whom we are currently sharing our family house with have stopped fasting since last week saying they cant stand it because of school etc Cheesy and they were the first to tell tale on me for being an Atheist.  Roll Eyes

    All in all, I personally dont care since I am doing this just to avoid attention and waiting to just leave home and family and start my own life my way far away. Then I will state frankly to my mother, now I am not bullshitting anyone now so please let me be and dont discuss religious things with me, nor discuss me with others ever again.

    I hope I get that day soon as I am sick of living here and living in Pakistan.

    Eid is definitely going to be on the Sunday. And here is why. If it is on the Monday, more people are going to miss the Eid prayer because they have to go to work. Which means less money for the mosques. Eid on Sunday, everyone will go to the mosque and there will be loads of money!

    I can't wait to return to normality either.......my muslim friends always look for tell tale signs, to catch out if I'm fasting or not:Makeup.

    Muslim - > Sunni - > Hanafi - > Deobandi or Barelwi.

    This gives me an idea to start a new thread and create a flow chart of all the schisms that are within Islam. This will be great to present to muslims in order for them to work out why they are the saved sect!

    Barelwi's call themselves Sunnis  finmad  Always used to annoy me as a Muslim, almost made it sound like they were the true sunni's, forcing everyone else into the shia camp because they could not call themselves sunni any longer!

    The deobandis and wahhabis normally hold it a day before the barelvis. My cousin is a wahabbi and his parents are barelvis and a couple of years ago, they were living in the same house and his parents were fasting and he was celebrating eid!

    That used to annoy me as well! They call themselves Sunnis and call wahhabis and deobandis, Wahabbis. Even though all three are Sunnis. In fact, I think Barelvis are the least Sunni of the lot of them, seeing as there seems to be a bit of overlap with Barelvis and Shias.

    Similar rifts in the existing Shia sects; Ithna Ashari (Twelver) whom my entire family belongs to, Ismaili, Alevi, Dawoodi Bohra; also exist but they are not as annoying as the rifts amongst the Sunni Hanafi sects from Indo-Pak/Saudi regions.

    That's an excellent idea! That would be really educational too for people like who don't know much about sub-sects.

    Lets do this!

    We can even include sects which dont exist today.

    p.s. The Druze are a sect of Ismaili Shiaism

    How do you know so soon?

    I reckon it will be on the sunday anyway, there were 30 days for the last 2 years. I reckon a 29 day ramadhan is overdue.

    Parents were discussing today whether it's on sunday or monday. They settled with Sunday for whatever reason.

    Question for Islame and anyone from Manchester.. What is Wilmslow road like on Eid? I think we are going up there next week.

    We get the same her on a smaller scale though. The barbers shop is packed the night before!
