I wrote a whole thread about it. They're not angry. They are just drunk on the hatred of Ummah supremacy and Maududi-ism, Muslim Brotherhood and Jamaat-e-Islaami shite, and Bin Ladenism and jihadism.

Not all, of course. The majority are not. But significant numbers are alcoholics of all of the above.

That's really weird because the first time I came accross "Maududis" and "Jamaat-e-Islami" was when I came accross "Moderate Muslims" for the first time in my life. I had a problem with them for being too modern, but they said they were Jamaat-e-Islami...

Fanatical organizations to me means Hizb-ut-Tahrir (which I largely encountered on the internet) and the predominantly deobandi communities where I used to live that were full of love and admiration for the Taliban.

The unlived life is not worth examining.

Maududi worshippers and Jamaat-e-Islami laid the fertile soil upon which the jihadis easily grew.

Jihadism / Maududi-ism, Ummah Supremacism is like a virus. Societies like Canada and America shouldn't be complacent about it in their Muslim communities. I have noticed sometimes that Americans / Canucks will sort of say, why is it so bad in Britain, we don't have that problem, we are innoculated against it because our society is like this, and our Muslim community is more integrated,  and so on and so forth.

Well, its probably true that you don't have that problem to the same extent yet. But there are signs that American Muslims are catching this disease. And Canada cannot assume that it is safe from it, because of X or Y reasons, because its self image is that Muslims can never be like British Muslim ingrates and murderous extremists. Its already happened there. You cannot be sure it won't happen again, or that it won't grow.

What a depressing video, it is so sad that many of our nation's youths, the leaders of tomorrow are lulled to extremism and violence by religious extremists, racial extremists, political extremists and others.

    Tragic.

I watched this last night, and one thing struck me,
I don't think the theology part is at much importance to them. It is more of a "worldly" tribalistic kind of thing that seems to motivate, much like in the style of the kkk.

The foundation of superstition is ignorance, the
superstructure is faith and the dome is a vain hope. Superstition
is the child of ignorance and the mother of misery.

Yeah, no doubt. It's bizzare how they constantly refer to their "people" as Muslims around the world. It is very similar to white supremacist groups because it's rooted in a similar naive and idealistic conception of what "their people" constitute. I think they are more comparable to white nationalist groups like the Aryan Nations rather than KKK since the KKK are more localized hill billies. It's rooted in this massive generalization of what "us" means, for these it's all Musulmans, the "ummah" and for the White nationalists it's the white race.

And it's a similar demographic that seems to be provide the foot soldiers for both movements.

I have to say I respect drive, commitment and hard work of some of these jihadis. Imagine if they exerted those efforts and passion into something positive and real - these young men could accomplish and contribute so much. Islam really does inhibit the professional and intellectual growth of the Muslim male.

And for me those Canadian boys really fucking scared me. Those guys were serious and came pretty damn close.  wacko

    Thank you so much CSIS.

I personally know a totally insane jihadi guy - a British born Pakistani. He is a completely deluded, self-victimized individual, a true psychotic that belongs to a mental institution. He is one of those gangsta wannabe losers who hate everybody, especially themselves and think the world owes them something. Basically the space he occupies could and should be taken by more advanced life forms - bacteria, amoebas and such. The guy is a bullying and abusive cunt - not just towards non-Muslims but bizarrely also towards other Muslims he considers inferior (they are not not devoted enough I guess). His knowledge of Islam is limited to a few phrases he picked up from other jihadis - I sincerely doubt he can read at all. He is basically a walking advertisement for use of contraceptives.

Kenan - I have known quite a few people who are exactly like the guy you describe, and even some that have 'milder' manifestations of that. You can see them all the time in the media, online, too.

I have some ideas about where this comes from.

I still haven't got round to watching this show. I will do, though.

I have some ideas about where this comes from.

I suspect it might be an identity thing. He is a total loser and I suppose that belonging to a group that is seen as tough and dangerous gives him a sense of pride and a bit of self esteem he severely lacks.

Like I said he is British born and bizarrely considers himself to be "English"; he thinks that he is superior to fresh Pakistani/Afganistani/Somali etc. immigrants. Once he even told me to fuck off back to "my country".

Yeah it is an identity thing, but its more specific than that.

Do you remember doing chemistry at school and there was this thing you used to do about how when two elements are combined they create apeshit crazy results? Its like that. As children they are raised in a Muslim household where even at the most moderate they will be encouraged to view the world in very binary terms of Kuffar v Momin, the moral corruption of the non Islamic society. They'll have been raised with a basic moral framework that they will have just picked up tacitly, if nothing else, which places Muslim men as the highpoint of a hierarchical scale, underneath them are Muslim women, underneath them are non Muslim men, and beneath them, the lowest of the low, kuffar women.

Release that mindset into a liberal secular society that aspires to equality of men and women, and aspires to the (non political) benefits of cosmopolitanism and multi-culturalism (ie: all people no matter what their race or religion are equal - meaning Islam is no better than, say, Judaism or Hinduism or even Rastafarians), and you have the recipe for immense neurosis and anxiety and cognitive dissonance brewing between reality, and what they have been raised to believe, the atmospherics they have absorbed.

Add the hysterical victimhood culture of hardcore Islamist resentment and supremacist ideology, groups of others who have the same neurosis and notions as you to create a self-perpetuating echo chamber, and you have the chemical elements that spit, rage and explode in the heads of these pitiful men.

actually i think the hierarchy is like this:

    Pious muslim men
    Muslim men
    Muslim women
    Kuffar men
    Kuffar women
    Gay Kafiroon
    Jews
    Gay Muslims (astaghfirullah!)

This is the core problem. But can you imagine somebody raising this issue in public? No way! Because this would "hurt the inter-community relations".  vomit

The other thing is that this hierarchy that they are made to believe is their due is not just an aspect of group bias - it is a divinely ordained fact - the natural balance of the universe as told to them by Mo and Allah. Already, they are in a state of grievance, because the natural universal chain upon which they sit astride is, well, not there in reality.

The effects of this, the cumulative effect, is incredibly distressing on the psyche of many Muslim men. Grievance hunting begins when they see that the world refutes the natural order of things - and together with many other different things, it leads to rage, rage, hatred and never ending bottomless rage.
