I aint blaming you . I am only stating as to why  I believed that this site doesnt allow christian missionaries.

They're allowed. They just aren't given any special space for their preaching.

    Quote
Also I had read one thread here where ISlame disagreed with some members here who said that christians shouldnt be allowed to attack Islam. I dont remember it exactly but some of them were saying they dont like the tone of christians or something of that sort but one thing was sure they didnt like christians attacking islam.

People tend to think that Christians attacking Islam are being hypocritical, since many of the arguments that are used against Islam can equally well be applied to most other religions.

    @BerberElla

The kind of insults that Qman threw at me arent tolerated on FFI. That insult was grave and thats why I was left with no option but to return him back with abuse. There is no excuse for the way he abused me so please stop defending it.

Awesome. So if someone insults you the only possible response is to escalate the insults. Colour me impressed.  Cheesy

Damn, these FFI guys really do seem very angry with people on this joint.

Why are they so vexed with a forum full of ex Muslims who have apostated and repudiate Islam and its political derivatives?

    I just don't get it.

Cohen is arguably a neocon and a right-winger. See below.

This is a lie and you are a liar. Nick Cohen is nowhere even remotely like that but like the purveyors of FUD who shilled on behalf of Miscrosoft against Linux you have to keep repeating that sort of lie over and over again.

Me too, card carrying Wobbly since '99, and member-activist and professional organizer for other unions for over a decade. I've organized workplaces, led strikes and other industrial/direct actions, litigated at the labor board-- so what? Many of the Italian fascists started off as anarcho-syndicalists as well. And the neocons started off as Trots.

And by this you are attempting to infer that I have made such an ideological shift? Yeah right. Cheesy

Your ideological or organizational background does not necessarily preclude you from making an ideological shift. I'm not nearly as right-wing as I was when I was a teenager, and not as radically left wing as I was when I was in my 20s. In fact, I recall you said yourself on this forum that you had departed from the left some time ago, in the context of a debate we were having. In fact, you compared it to apostating, and I disagreed with your comparison. I can't be bothered to find it right now, but I'm sure you could find it if you wanted.

I really didn't make an ideological shift but rather saw many of my former friends and FW's follow the party line of the cultural Left and actually become supporters of Hamas and other assorted jihadis. They did this knowing full well that this sort of behavior contradicts socialist  and anarchist principles and ideals. With a 'so what' (your words) coming from you any socialist beliefs you may have are shallow and crude.

So just because you have experience on the left and can probably lay claim to understanding some left wing ideology more than some other folks do, that doesn't mean that you are left right now.

But I am and you have to live with that fact.  dance

Yes, I understand that many former left-wingers who are apologists for imperialism and neocon ideology (like Cohen and Hitchens and some other folks besides you I've run across on internet forums) like to continue to classify themselves as left-wing,

There you go again making use of Joseph Goebbels advice:

    Quote
“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

just composing some kind of principled left-wing opposition, and appeal to the legacy of George Orwell. But I don't buy it. I think you guys are just former leftists who don't want to admit that as you got older you turned into the very reactionaries you once despised.

You simply can't face the fact that you are of that ilk who decided to flush any principles down the toilet. Plenty of us on the Decent Left have had moments of doubt and wondered what we were doing agreeing with those whom we had heartily disagreed with on just about every other subject. But how can we be reactionaries when we were not the ones who collaborated with so many types like Yusuf al-Qardawi and Hamas? With that in mind it's quite obvious that we have not "turned into the very reactionaries we once despised."

Yes. Hang your head in shame. Afro

Ugh. Looks like its time for another break. See you guys in a few days.

You'll need to once you see the challenges I have for you at FFI. Since you  lurk there you can post there.

Perhaps you don't the history of these two forums. If not then there is a lot of reading to do and I mean a lot. BTW, please don't be one to blindly follow the herd. There's too many people posting here who have been jumping to conclusions due to such things as misplaced personal loyalties, etc. Quite a few of them haven't even been posting here for very long and so depend on the opinions of their online friends without really giving themselves the time thoroughly research the issue of the FFI-CEMB split. If you respond to me in an hour even a week from now that you've done the necessary research then you would be telling me that you have only scratched the surface. Good luck with the research.

Mate, I ain't going to be doing any research about anything. All I know is this is a great forum with some great people and a great place for ex Muslims to discuss things, and right now there's some people squealing alot about something or another.

Shit like this is a waste of energy.

200 years from now a scholar will dig up some old threads. He will find out the history of ex-muslims online beginning with the Prophet Ali Sina who believed in Aliens and that the 21th Century President Barack Obama was a Taqiya Tactician. He will do further scholarly work and come across the posts of one Ansar al-Zindiqi. He'll make a footnote of him, the footnote will read:

    Major asshole. Deluded. Big-headed.

I am trying hard, Ansar, but am having a bit of difficulty - as you rightly said, I am a bit dull-witted.

OK, now let me go through this step by step. Mr Rogers appears to be a cheesy guy from US (Canadian?) TV - perhaps from the 60s.

You said I'm "The Mr Rogers of Islam"

Hmmm.... nope... I still don't quite get it.

Could you perhaps just run through it one more time. (Could anyone else help with this - I'm dying to know the answer.)

It's actually a quite smart reference.

You were a teacher. And still a teacher. Taught kids. And now teach as if muslims are kids, handled with care.

Mr. Rogers was a children's show.

Am I right Zindiqi? Do I get my prize now? A star at the end of my post or maybe a cute dinosaur sticker? I wub like a green triceratops if you please Sir.

Actually he's implying that Hassan is softie who handles Islam with kid-gloves.

Considering Ansar Al-Zindiqi considers the Taj Mahal a Muslamic abomination, from his perspective that's probably spot on.
