Hurray, Berbs! Good for you! IF you stick with it, it will do you a world of good, and not only physically, trust me!
the others will be sweating just like you, so don´t worry about that. In my gym, we have a good mix of super-fit/slim/gorgeous twenty-year old blondie bimbos, and overweight/elderly/don´t look at me grannies (literally) and everything in between. Honestly - looking at the others when taking a shower makes one aware, that one ISN`T the lone loser in a world of supermodels, but well able to compete with quite a lot of them....
That sounds like a bonus I could use lol
I am looking forward to it, I am worried that I will give up at the first hurdle (as I have done before), mind you the last time I tried the gym I was 16
, maybe I have better commitment to a plan nowadays.
I want to stick at it though, I want to get into the swing of it, they say exercise is good for depression because it releases endorphins, and I am very very depressed right now.
Feel like I am sinking and falling and nothing is getting better.
So, whatever, going to try to do something to not feel so bored and empty every day.
Well - I tried and failed the gym before, too... what kept ME going was falling in love, ahem, and wanting to look my best for "my man".
... well, one gets into a habit after a while, and your body lets you know it WANTS to go there. Try different things - I started with treadmill and machines, then started doing gymnastic-classes instead (body-shape and "problem-zones" - how girly!!) - that worked well for me. And DO try and go at LEAST twice a week, three if you can make it (you will see results if you do that, and that helps in keeping morale up... your body will feel differently pdq - you are young, so your body will react quickly). Try and make it part of your routine and promise yourself you ll keep that up for at least six weeks... then, a habit has formed, I think. that makes it easier to keep going.
Check out all the courses they have, and settle on something you enjoy doing, and that makes you feel good. You are not overweight, so just getting out of the house regularly, work your body to the max, and release endorphines while toning up is the thing for you, I think.
Oh - and if they have a sauna - try and use that, too! It´s like a holiday, to spend two hours there, relaxing, sweating, putting on a facial mask in between sittings, getting a scrub etc... lovely, and makes one feel good about oneself, too!
