Well Dio, you have the sauna, and I have the pool, lol funny old world.  grin12

I am very nervous about this, I just don't want to fail and quit, because I am such a quitter.  I quit when things get too hard, I hate that about myself, and when I try to change that, I fail at changing which gives me more reason to beat myself up.  Roll Eyes

I am also sort of excited, nervous but excited.  I will be in pain for the next few weeks lol  dance

Dont be nervous about it. If you go during the day there'd be no-one there because they'd be at work.

You will keep it up bearing in mind the money you put in as well, i reckon.

It is painful, but at least you can go to the gym.

Yes the gym was almost empty when I was there today, so I am pleased about that.  dance

I need to take a water bottle, some towels I think, what else will I need?

Inhale the good shit, exhale the bullshit.

LOTS of water, gym-outfit incl. shoes,  towels, shower-gel, body-lotion, bathing shoes... bathing clothes, if you want to use the pool.

Dont take water, take Lucozade sport or something to replace salts.

Take some clothes if youre gonna shower there too.
    Sweatbands
Some proper gym clothes- or anything appropriate.

No Lucozade or any of that rubbish! We aren´t talking high-class athlete training, but just an hour or so of gym! For minerals, take a bit of fresh fruit or salad, afterwards - maybe add some tuna. It´s all you need - there are minerals etc in the mineral water, but there are NO sugars/carbohydrates in there! And I prefer STILL water - the bubbles are horrible, when you are drinking on the treadmill or during exercise - you can´t drink fast enough.

    Fair enough dio.

If you get really stuck, just ask your personal trainer.

I will stick to taking flavoured water, can't stand plain water.  vomit

I have no sweat bands, will use my hair bands instead until I can afford some sweat bands.

Check to all of the rest of the things, and my brother left his sports bag here so I can make use of that.  grin12

Water doesnt taste of anything. You're just making it up.  grin12

Sweatbands arent all that important anyways. Some girl at gatka asked me if I wanted one but Ive got a turban on so....

Yeh, sports bag. If you go on the bags make sure you use wraps because it fucks your knuckles up.

the water is an acquired taste... I got used to plain and now I can´t take the sweet drinks any more... but Volvic lemon or orange is good.  Wink I finish off a 1.5 litre bottle of it on the treadmill...

It can be, Berbs. but it´s not a miracle-cure to every problem you might have - though I think, it can help you deal with them.
and drinkning enough is important! about 1 litre EXTRA of water for every hour of exercise (extra over the 2 litres one should be drinking every day, anyway!)
