    I agree to an extent.  If he is genuinely open minded then that is very brave. But the answer DID avoid the question.

    I agree with Hassan here. He is on a forum where the vast majority of participants are non-believers. We have been through the same thing at one time and looked through the eyes of iman.

    No worries. I do not have all the answers and have to rely on my faith, it therefore perhaps is not surprising that I would struggle with my answers. If anyone feels my faith makes me cowardly then so be it, but of course I don't see it that way.

    AbuYnus - would you agree that if there is no higher justification (the one that is out of your grasp and out of your reach) it would appear that Allah has inverted values when it comes to shirk being the most immutable and unforgiveable sin?

    Lets leave it at that - you can have your explanation because it hasn't been revealed to you - and keep your faith - but surely you'd concede that to people who don't trust in the 'higher cause' it makes no sense at all and is even shocking to common morality?
