this might be a common type of dream, but last night i dreamt that I started floating upwards from my bed, whilst i was floating upwards i started hearing some nice music with male vocals - it wasn't anything i heard before but the closest thing it sounded like was coldplay, fix you. what was weird was that it seemed very real - i started rubbing my face then i floated back down and felt the weight of myself on the bed again. i woke up and the atmosphere in the room and the way it was (the same level of darkness etc.) was exactly the same as in the dream. was a little weird but quite nice at the same time.

Had a crazy dream last night.

I was driving in some tiny car the size of a small table, it was an old bush basher, but looked like a car from the early 1900s but much much smaller and very old and wasn't in good working condition. I was driving to Ayres rock with the kids, except that I also had another kid, a little 7/8 month old baby on my lap as we were driving. We were driving through many country towns and eventually we ran out of gas.

So we hopped out and walked into this service station. I had the baby in my arm, and the kids walking behind me. I think to myself, what the fuck am I going to do for money, we have to get some money so that I can buy some more petrol... So I walk up to some guy, handsome fellah, and grab him by his shirt and say, "You! You're coming with me!" and he seems to know exactly what I'm talking about, I'm going to blow him in exchange for money. Like he knows what I mean but I hadn't told him that's what I was going to do.

So me and the bloke walk to the back of the service station, with the kids walking behind me and I'm carrying the baby in my arms. I'm going to blow this dude with the baby in my arm. idiot2 We walk into the toilets, but every stall is full of people fucking... I'm like, WTF this is so fucked up, and I say to the guy, "Sorry mate, but it looks like I'm not going to be able to blow you, I really needed the money too." I'm so frustrated in my dream 'cause I really needed the money so that we could get to Ayers rock. But the guy is a really nice bloke, and he says to me, "Hey, don't worry about it, here have this money and get the kid's something to eat," so he hands me a wad of notes.

The kids and I jump back in the little bush basher after filling it up with petrol and we take off... as I drive off I'm thinking to myself, "WTF was I thinking going to blow a guy with my baby in my arms? What kind of mother am I anyway?"

Woke up and thought, WTF?! WTF does that dream mean? That was crazy and weird... who has dreams like that?! I'd really love to know what the fuck does that dream mean... Can imagine Freud would have a field day with that if he was still alive. Dunno, is one of my more messed up sexual dreams, very messed up.  wacko

How many times do I have to dream about traveling to Ayers rock anyway? And what's the deal with the prostitution part of it, not to mention going to do it with a baby in my arm? Like what the fuck is going on in my head? no

Least the guy was pretty hot, he was in his 40s but he was really hot, like really hot and not the sleazy sort, more like some dude with class, nice shirt that wasn't done up properly so that you could see his chest, sleeves rolled up, nice pants (kind of like pants from a suit). Hair gelled and he had a smooth chin, but really masculine jawline.  mysmilie_977

    Haunted by a dream............

    Quote
...An young man approached me in Bombay after a book reading last year. He was curious to know about a Sindhi couplet that I had quoted. He was in his late twenties, a clean cut Bombay professional. “I am from Shikarpur,” he told me quite abruptly. I hoped that he was a visitor, or somehow had ended up there for work. Again the story was familiar. He had migrated with his parents when he was sixteen. “In the early nineties when there were lots of kidnappings in interior Sindh,” he said. Like a true Pakistani, I wanted to remind him that Muslims were also kidnapped. But he wasn’t interested in discussing persecution of minorities in Pakistan. He said he wanted to have a word in private.
    Quote
We moved away from the crowd. “We came here because my parents were worried about my sisters, what would happen when they grew up.” I asked him about his life in Bombay. It was good. He was the director of a long running soap on Sony TV, had two kids and a wife. “It might seem a bit strange but I thought you might help me. For the last one year I dream of Shikarpur every night,” he told me. “I mean the dreams are different, but whatever happens, happens in the streets of Shikarpur. It’s very vivid. And the strange thing is that I don’t really think much about Shikarpur. I grew up there but that’s all in the past. I want these dreams to stop.”

I didn’t really have an answer. I mumbled something about homesickness being a universal disease. “I am not really homesick,” the boy from Shikarpur insisted. “In fact I never want to go back. I am just wondering if there is anyway I could get rid of these dreams. I can’t talk to anyone about them.”

I suggested that maybe he should write about his experiences. “There is no story,” he insisted. “We still have relatives there, why create problems for them? And why would anyone want to read about my dreams anyways? As it is I feel embarrassed talking about this. I decided to talk to you because you are from Sindh and you quoted that couplet that I liked.”

I tried to change the subject. We talked about the rise and decline of Indian soap operas. He told me that all his brothers and sister were married, well settled and have moved away from home. “Where is home?” I asked. He named a small town in the Indian state of Gujarat.

“My parents are still there,” he said. “All by themselves.” Then he reverted to the subject of his dreams. “When I wake up from these dreams, I often think about my parents. Because you see when we left I was only sixteen. I made a whole life here. They were already in their sixties when they left. And they had never lived outside of Shikarpur. They never talk about it. But I worry about them. I wonder if I can’t get rid of these dreams, what must they be going through?”

I wonder when that Hazara kid grows up in some strange land, will he be haunted by the dreams of Sariab Road?

.. that  is written by Mohammed Hanif in Dawn

so how to stop getting such dreams? hmm.. Brain  is  the most difficult organ to play with..........

I've just had a mildly odd dream. In it, I received a note from the user known as Mount a Bison advising me to consult my solicitors.

I'm not sure what he wanted to sue me about.

Hector, one of the moderators of Faith Freedom Org is a Singaporean who studied psychology in the University of Southern Queensland. His details are here.

This guy has been active in many forums since 1990s but has made a claim that he has stopped posting since 2002. He also claimed that he has been impersonated and announced it at his university's website. But so far, he or the university have not sued the persons he claimed that has been impersonating him.

woah haha.  I haven't been able to recall my dreams for a long time. When I was younger kept having elaborate ones with my best cousins. We were always trying to find a way to save the earth from alien invasion. Yes 3 little children always managing to save the earth. It always felt so real and plausible. I had a strange dream last night about one of the main people who helped me get into the whole Islam thing. I dreamt this person told me they had "apostasised" (sorry I'm nearly sure that's not a real word but I think most of you know what I mean). When I heard this I could barely believe it, then I finally felt I could talk to them truthfully(it's been a while) and I remember thinking that this could be the beginning of the end of Islam because I've never met anyone who was more in love with the religion and if it could happen to them it could happen to anyone. Then I woke up but it still took my head a few seconds to realise it was just a dream.

there are so many threads about dreams on this forum... anyway..

Hassan i dreamt you wrote a book (crazy huh  Wink )
and in your book you wrote something along the lines .. 'and what about the young girl who prays uncovered, hands clasped at her chin and her prays are answered.. Allah not only has made her blind and deaf to islam, but is now deliberately deceiving her into thinking she's on the right path..'
    your book was famous..
not so crazy if you ask me.. but that was part of my dream last night..

    I'll just leave this here:

I once had a strange run in with a dream, here is my story:

One night I had a dream that I was going to have a shower. Just before I got in however, I had to take a shit. Much to my surprised, the shit ended up being the biggest shit of my life, a giant monolith standing a couple feet out of the toilet that I was just sitting on. My shit was so massive in fact, that I rushed into my shower to clean myself since I knew that no amount of toilet paper could handle that beast.

I then woke up and thought to myself that I must finally be losing it. That was the second night in a row that I had dreamt about taking a shit, although the first dream was a horror in a different way.

I carried on through my day normally, and told a couple friends about my dream because I figured it was good for some laughs. Eventually I got home and night time came. I got off my computer and went to go take a shower, and then realized that I had to take a shit. Not only that, but the whole scenario was playing out EXACTLY as in the dream - the same bathroom in my home, the same lighting conditions and the same time of day. At this point I was tripping balls.

My shit turned out to be entirely normal however, and my butt completely tamable by toilet paper. I then concluded that dreams were really fucked up, and took my shower normally.

Had a dream last night where I was in a crowd of people, it was sort of like an art studio with a bunch of people there socialising, but one of them was an agent of some kind and started killing people. They were onto me, they disabled any form of communications signals available in the area somehow, so I couldn't call the emergency services.

I managed to get away from that area, climbed out some window. I got to another place which looked like bar or something, lots of people there too, I hid amongst the crowd trying to blend in. After noticing the signal disappeared in that area too, I knew the agents were here, I discovered a couple through their behaviour, but other people didn't seem to recognise them. The agents were only after me this time (finishing off the job I guess), I tried to run...I can't remember the rest of the dream.
