Is anyone on a diet of unprocessed foods? Be it paleolithic, pritikin or a mix? Share you experience. I am considering alternating my diet as I am starting an old man gut since I have been cutting down on exercise due to limited time.

My processed food is on a minimum right now, but I lived without processed food for a couple of years and I have to say that it was great. After being without it for three years or so, I ate a burger at Burger King and it did not end well. I've never felt so sick from food, and it was not food poisoning.

I have cut all fast food from my diet years ago and never felt better. My issue is I have lean build so do not gain mass well except in the worst areas .I am finding it is harder to maintain my fat levels and form.

Old man bogart is realising his best days are behind him,

`But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.
`Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: `we're all mad here. I'm mad.  You're mad.'
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'

Oh my, people here are so fit Wink i used to exercise 5 or 6 days a week, felt great, didn't get tired so easily. I stopped and whish i didn't. I want to start again but i always find some excuses.
    Me:
    Height: 164cm (between 5'4" and 5'5")
    weight: 58kg (128pounds?)
Body fat: i have no idea. How do people measure it?

I lost 15kg (just over 30 pounds) in 3 months. I lost appetite, eat 2 small meals a day, usually no snacking. I haven't got the energy to exercise, get tired quickly. I'm lately very sleepy too, have many headaches.
Any ideas on getting appetite back?  Just enough to have more energy and feel better.

Current plan (I've stopped going to the gym):

    - 10 minute intense bag session.
    - 10 minute running until exhausation.
    - Calisthenic workout.

    Thinking to buy this: http://www.amazon.com/MaxxMMA-Punching-Adjustable-SHIPPING-LIMITED/dp/B00FSS5YHI

Take part in the 100 push up challenge guys, it's fun.

I can do about 53 in a row, I doubt I'll get to 100 unless I cut my weight down.

    Current weight: 70kg
    Height: 180cm

    Goal: sustaining status quo

I've been overweight almost my entire life and maxed out at 137kg. Been maintaining my current weight for a few years and it's all mostly through calories control and only started working out AFTER I lost the weight.

As many have said before, food control is THE way to get the job done. Maintaining a food diary really helps to see where the calories are coming from and to act accordingly. Is that 450 calories mocha really worth it? I'll have black coffee instead. You get the point and it really works. If I could do it, anyone can.

TLDR: exercise is blown out of proportion for weight loss, control your food.

I want to build physical strength (not bothered either way about muscle, it's the raw physical strength I'm working for) but I have a bit of fat on me which I want gone (I'm not fat to an unhealthy level, it's just not very nice looking). From what I've heard strength training/fat loss at the same time is pointless. So I'm gonna concentrate on the fat first and start strength training later on in the year.

I started thaiboxing recently,  and have been keeping track of my measurements once a month for almost a year now. My 6 month plan is getting me into an acceptable shape. My trainer said we are supposed to do (he demands of us to do) 100 burpees in less than 10 minutes at the end of the term/semester, so that is my goal I guess.

Sure, losing a couple of pounds in pure fat is the point, but I'm focused on shaping muscles and getting fit. I'll be updating in a month how things are progressing Tongue

3-4 times a week thai, and 1-2 times a week going to the gym. Wish me luck.

And as an update the first week had me attend 2 thaiboxing sessions and one visit to the gym. I feel the pain in my muscles. Next week is gonna be more intense, I promise (myself).

I love showing up gym show offs.

I was doing 180kg leg presses and this guy wanted to work his sets in with me, so I was like "ok cool". He tried my 180kg set up for a few very half arsed reps and he was like "this is too easy". On his next set I told him to go deeper and try a full range of motion, he couldn't even move the weight from its starting position  Cheesy
