Watched the whole thing, and it's actually quite scary. I find it scary how so many celebrities get themselves involved, and how people become brainwashed or something. It's weird. o.O

Watched the whole documentary, and weirded out by it.  I thought Islam was bad, but this is something else.  What annoyed me was that I watched it to learn more about scientology, and I still dont know anything about it.  The whole thing is shrouded in secrecy, they wouldnt even admit to the story of Xenu!

according to wiki - if we are immortal, what do they think happens when we die?

    Quote
Scientology teaches that people are immortal spiritual beings who have forgotten their true nature.[4] Its method of spiritual rehabilitation is a type of counseling known as auditing, in which practitioners aim to consciously re-experience painful or traumatic events in their past in order to free themselves of their limiting effects.

and this bit is laughable, and raises a whole load of concerns

    Quick and easy version:

About 75 million years ago, there was the galactic ruler, Xenu. The galaxy was overpopulated so Xenu’s draconian solution was to kill everyone and freeze them. He brought some frozen aliens to Earth and dropped them in volcanoes, then destroyed them with nuclear explosions. Once destroyed, their souls (Thetans) were released and implanted with misleading information (engrams) including all the religions of the world. The tainted Thetans began to cluster together and possessed the primitive animals of Earth. They became the predecessors to modern humans, transferring from body to body.

The misleading engrams can be removed by expensive hypnosis and therapy sessions while hooked up to a machine. Only through a multi-level series of these sessions can you remove your engrams and eventually set the real Thetan free.

Too fucking busy, and vice versa.

But what evidence do they have for Thetan & Xenu?  At least other religions have books that are so old that its difficult to prove they did not come from a supernatural being.  However Hubbard, there "prophet" was a sci-fi writer and this is the kind of stuff he wrote in his fictional books.  So how do they mentally separate his facts from fiction?  Just take his word for it  Huh?

I know you might say this is what all relgions do, but I think is a subtle difference (time) that makes it even more laughable than anything else.  Surely there must be something else to it?

The only difference really is that the Abrahamic faiths were spread with the sword and firmly rooted before the age of enlightenment. Those faiths were still invented once upon a time, the same as Scientology, the same as Mormonism. Mormonism has been proven to be false, even during the lifetime of its prophet, yet you still get Mormons knocking on your door making a genuine effort to convince you its true.

I'm not even going to begin to guess why people do it. I just prefer to point and laugh.

For example: in the name of a specious "religious equality" supporting unrestrained mosque building in western countries on the false premise that the average mosque is just another place of worshiprather than part and parcel of the political infrastructure of the discriminatory political system the "Islamists" openly admit to working to impose on those western countries and haranguing those of us who hold that Islam in the non-Muslim world should be subject to the same sort of restrictions it imposes on non-Muslims wherever it has the upper hand.

Wrong. I am prepared to consider that there are large numbers if people in the "Muslim community" who are ignorant of the doctrine. If, after a jihad attack, a randomly selected Muslim interviewed by CBN says "these terrorists are behaving against the teachings of Islam because the Koran says that killing an innocent person is like killing all humanity" they might actually believe this claptrap. That a falsehood is believed, however, does not make it any less of a falsehood the propagation of which needs to be challenged because non-Muslims might come to believe it in large numbers and be lulled into a false sense of security about what we are dealing with. Therefore, ignorant Muslims who are innocently propagating lies believing them to be true cannot safely be left in their ignorance and need to be shown the erroneous nature of their view of Islam.

    Or take this example:

it was a comfort and strength to read throughout our Qur'an that God created all of humanity from one  great, single soul (4:1, 6:39, 6:98, 7:198), and that it repeatedly emphasizes the equal value of all human lives, irrespective of colour, nationality, gender, religion, etc. And the Qur’an is uncompromising in its teaching that, in killing one innocent person, the sinner is as quilty as if all humanity had been murdered (5:32). The Qur'an, in other words, teaches zero-tolerance of deliberate, pre-meditated killing. FULL ARTICLE

I would say in this case the writer has filtered out Koranic passages, including parts of verse 5:32 which contradict what they WANT Islam to be. That they are displaying cognitive dissonance, however, does not mean that we are obliged to take their "interpretation" as being as much "true" Islam as Osama bin Laden's.

But how do we distinguish the propagators of falsehoods in ignorance from the Taqiyya merchants who undoubtedly exist?
