the below sentiment seems common amongst some anti islam types, ie identifying obvious racist intent is apologism for rapists apparently.

as a side note, it appears that the younger generation don't do nuance and embrace any brain dead reasoning that caters to shallow outrage in between scrolling cat videos.

any sensible public discussion will go extinct as this cohort become the active majority. it inevitably means a return to the overt persecution and violence that was supposedly solved half a century ago.
