Oooh, that looks really refreshing, CC!

Wasn't really in the mood for cooking today, just threw this together:

Outdoor fillet of pork stuffed with spring onion and pine nuts, wrapped in matured streaky bacon with mash and fine beans. sauce: shallot and butter.

Today's dinner. Made it all by myself. *

    Oven-grilled scampi and deep-fried Levantine-style kobbeh.

*Well, mum made the kobbeh and put it in the freezer. I just deep fried it !

    Looks very healthy!

The mix of rice and meat to make Kobbeh sounds interesting, never seen that dish before.

I'd want to have those with some chilli sauce, probably sweet chilli sauce, or add a dash of tabasco to the ketchup.

They look like lemon dumplings. I reckon a squirt of fresh lemon juice would do the trick on them.

Yup, Poles love cabbage. Thats the thing with Polish food, its peasant food. Its not that fancy ass French food where there is so much detail and its shaped into flowers and stuff like that. We eat simple, a slab of cabbage, 2 sausages and some rye bread.

We don't eat fancy food lol.

I hate some of those overly fancy French/Italian dishes which cost around 50 pounds. and all you get is a microscopic piece of chicken, with 8 drops of dressing and a fucking radish on the side.

Fuck that. I will stick with my peasant food Afro

Why'd you hate fancy food? Most chefs see food as an art form and not just something to fill your tummy. Chefs like Heston Blumenthal do not get Michelin stars for nothing.

Because most of the time fancy food is so small, small as in tiny portions and is overpriced like crazy. Keep showing off with your fancy dinner pics

I agree with you, you don't get a Michelin star for nothing but I also think that the Michelin guide is not an accurate representation of the highest quality restaurants due to it's overwhelming bias towards French and European restaurants. How many Indian or Thai or Mexican rstaurants are in the Michelin guide?
